黄金町バザール2020で行ったワークショップ《未発見の小惑星観測所》を元にしたインスタレーション。ワークショップでは、鑑賞者は公開制作中の私に電話をかけることができ、「印象に残っている場所の話」をします。鑑賞者が語る豊かな場所の記憶から、私は地図を想像して未発見の小惑星を描きました。

電話を通して初めて聞いた場所の記憶は、どれもとても美しいストーリーでした。もし人の記憶も都市を構成する要素であるとするならば、周囲に潜んでいる場所の記憶を元に、実在しない都市を思い描くことができるのではないかと考えました。

これはいくつかの場所の記憶から構成した、架空の都市計画です。

 

This installation is based on the workshop “Undiscovered Asteroid Observatory” conducted at Koganecho Bazaar 2020. In the workshop, viewers could call me during the public production and “talk about a place that left an impression”. From their rich memories of places, I imagined a map and drew an undiscovered asteroid.

All the memories of places I heard for the first time through the phone were very beautiful stories. I thought that if people’s memories are also a component of a city, then it would be possible to envision a non-existent city based on the memories of places that lurk around us.

This is an imaginary city plan composed from the memories of several places.
